Did a consultation with Dr K at Oyester and pearl hospital.
Of the procedures he advised the latest, to which we agreed. He asked us to come to prime hospital at deccan.Tha cost he stated was around 80k for the procedure. During 1 St visit he said it is large stone and needed one more sitting. We already paid 80k. During 2 nd visit my dad was anesthised and on the operation table said the machine is not working. The operation was aborted , he asked us to pay 20k for the admission.we had a word with the staff , they did not want to listen. In the 3 Rd visit the procedure was completed and again asked for 75 k.
We had been categorically told cost not more than 85k .but it doubled, for a kidney stone operation . I would advise to take a written statement for the cost as they surely are looking to extract more money from some patients. I could not sense the greed ..be careful. I am from the healthcare profession and am not here to malign anyone, but thought this has to be shared.

But can be quite rude at times to patients. Strict disciplinarian and insists on doing things his way only. But overall good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had taken my Mom to Dr. Kripekar for cystoscopy couple of years ago. Although they charged heavily the operation wasn't a success at all. The urethra was dilated he forgot to take care of the bladder. The result was that the bladder started sagging over a period of time and we had to again do cystocele repair. This also affected the rectum and we had to do rectocele. One of the most careless and overconfident doctor I have ever come across. I would never ever recommend him to anyone. Inspite of reading this feedback if you approach him you are heading to the graveyard.
