My 5 year old Dell laptop refused to turn on one day. After booking an upfront appointment, sparing time from my office hours and spending hours at a Dell Authorized Service Center & paying Rs.1500 non refundable checking charges, I was told after a week of follow up that its motherboard is damaged and needs to be replaced which would cost me atleast $$$$$. And they cannot guarantee that the laptop will work even after the M/B replacement, since it's too old. I decided to let go, since there was no point in spending a bomb on such an old laptop. Months later I came across Dr.LappyCare opposite IIT Main Gate and decided to give them a try. They were absolutely professional about the work and told that the checking charges is only 300 bucks. I had no hopes yet submitted the laptop and went my way. Received a call from them just an hour later saying that the laptop is fixed! It was a minor issue which he could could rectify without replacement. They even fixed my broken microphone port without me even mentioning it to them. Charges too was extremely nominal. It's been at least 3 months since the repair, my laptop is working flawlessly.
Long story short, if you have laptop problems and are based in or around Powai, this is the right place for you.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My Asus laptop has crashed and wasn’t starting either. Authorized service centre was also not able to repair stating the spares weren’t available as the laptop was bought in US.
Jamal was able to repair at chip level. It is at least working now. Hope that continues.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Paid full for monitor repair but repair was half done.
Monitor was completely in off state. He started the monitor but lines were present on it. I asked him could it be further repaired he said during repair it might damage more and suggested not to repair.
I asked few of my friends they told it is possible to repair and you can also see it on YouTube technician repairing it.
Job was done very fast within 3-4 hrs but i still say it to be incomplete.

The moment you reach the place, you will see the board but you won't find the place. Its because you have to climb a steep and a narrow ladder to reach a floor above where there's a very small lab.
Then you talk to Jamal, and you start getting the real flavor of the place. He is an extremely polite, professional and humble guy. He will not overcharge you or delay you. He treats every product you take to him as his own.
I had issues with my laptop's display and I took it to a service store inside IIT campus as suggested by my hostelmates. The store operative told that I will be charged Rs. 450 for diagnosis and if required about 5000 for display and it might take one or two days. Luckily I had read the reviews of this place and thought of giving it a try. I was saved.
I went to Dr. Lappy Care and he started diagnosis then and there. I asked him if there's any charge, he said no charge for diagnosis. Then he told that display is faulty and I'll have to get it replaced. He mentioned the charge that was about 3850 and he told he'll get the replacement done by the same evening. Later he called me and said that the price had increased by 250 rupees and I would get 6 months warranty instead of 3 months which I would have got initially. I agreed and got my laptop repaired the same day and he took only 4000 rupees in total.
I found out that the display he had put was of lower resolution than my original display. I informed him and he said he will ask for the display that I wanted. It was slightly higher than what I had paid but he said it's fine I don't have to pay anything since it was not my fault. Amazing!
I gave my laptop to a time of my convenience and got it back the same evening. It was such a smooth experience.
I would suggest everyone to go there for all repairs. He takes charges only if the work is too much, for small tasks, he won't even ask for any surplus charge.
Trust me, he won't fool you or scam you. You can blindly go to him and he will even suggest you what price to pay to someone if there's something he can't do. (Happened when I took my speakers for repairing)
You won't regret going here.

Just had my dead lenovo idea pad 330s laptop repaired in this shop run by Jamal Shah.The service offered is genuine and no nonsense cheat. Your pockets won't be dug, everything is value for money at reasonable rates here.
Though a small place, but this Engineer here is running a lab that will repair almost anything in your pc/laptops.Also offering pick up and drop service.
Hatsoff to this gentleman for his knowledge and hardwork. Watch out for this place he might have moved on to something huge in few years. Huge potential person.
