★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My husband and myself consulted Dr. Om Lakhani for my thyroid and for his diabetes. We recently bumped into him in Chicago where we was there for a conference. He was kind enough to email us our clinical notes eventhough he was on a holiday which was very useful to us. Very few doctors have deep and intricate knowledge about Thyroid nodules as Dr. Lakhani does. After seeing the ultrasound and FNAC report, he suggest I NOT GO for surgery. And he was right ! Please be aware, if you have thyroid nodule, the first doctor to see is an Endocrinologist and not a surgeon. It seems in India surgeons are only interested in operating and would advise surgery in all nodules WHICH IS WRONG. All thyroid nodules ARE NOT CANCEROUS. We are also thankful to the surgeon in Zydus who recommended we see an Endocrinologist, Dr Lakhani first and not go for surgery directly.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ All those who know a little bit about diabetes know that THE specialist for diabetes is an ‘Endocrinologist’. Dr. Om Lakhani is the best Endocrinologist in the city for sure. His knowledge about management of diabetes is at par (or probably better) than international standards. Ahmedabad city is full of General physicians who call themselves ‘Diabetologists’. This seems to be a new trend. However, beware people they are just general physicians who have little or no additional training in diabetes management. Dr Om Lakhani is a trained Endocrinologist which means he is far superior to these physicians in both training and degree. If you are serious about diabetes management then you need to pay him a visit and do what he says. If you are just doing it for passing your time, then you can visit one of those so called ‘Diabetologists’ in the city.

But doc Om sir is an endocrinologist which means specialization in Diabetes. Every diabetic patient should visit him.. He is the best. In this corona pandamic also he is serving his patient with very ease.
