I had lower back pain on and off for ten years and the past three were the most challenging. I could not walk upstaight for over a year and my mobility affected my daily quality of life. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I Pooja Hemnani and I’m 29years old. I had an paralysed attack on 13th November 2021 at around 5am. It started with severe back pain and slowly I lost movements and sense of my both lower limbs. I was taken for urgent MRI and it showed some blood clot comprising my spinal cord which requires emergency surgery to remove that blood clot. For surgery my family doctor referred me to Dr. Mazda and Dr.Rahul Chhajed at wockhardt hospital Mumbai Central.
As I reached emergency department of hospital I was in panic and nervous because of my condition but all thanks to Dr.Rahul he made me calm and he was so quick with his assessment and treatment.
The team was ready for surgery and without wasting anytime Dr.Rahul did all the necessary procedures and made me stable for the surgery.
My marriage was on 8th December 2021and Before going for surgery both doctors promised me they will not let my wedding date change.
They stood on their promise.
And today i am happily married and getting back to normal huge thanks to Dr. Mazda and Dr. Rahul.
On 13th November 2021 the surgery started at around 4pm and it went for 3 hours long.The surgery went smooth and successful with minimal incision. They removed my blood clot and decompressed the spinal cord.
The best part was immediately after surgery I was able to do little movements.
From operation theatre I was shifted to private room and I was admitted there for almost 11 days.
Daily Dr.Rahul used to visit me and motivates me, he gave me so much confidence to improve my condition. Daily there was improvement in my condition
From little movements immediately after surgery to getting up from bed then standing with suppor, then standing without support and doing some marching movements, then walking with support of 3 people to walking with Walker, then walking with stick to walking independently.
Before surgery I was having power of 0/5 grade and on 10th day of surgery I was having power of 5/5
Yes this magic, this improvement in my condition happened because of Dr. Rahul and his team’s efforts and there dedication of attention towards patients health (mental and physical health)
I came hospital on stretcher and on discharge I was able to walk on my own without any support and I went home independently and all credit goes to this amazing and wonderful team and specially to Dr.Rahul.
My marriage date didn’t postpone and I was all good and dancing on my marriage functions. So I’m very lucky that I got treated from Dr.Rahul
Thankyou Dr.Rahul for saving my life, for all the efforts and attention, me and my husband will be grateful all our life. Thankyou so much for everything.

I met with an accident and was diagnosed with subarchanoid haemorrhage and Dr. Rahul being very knowledgeable and expert in his field which I know of as I am almost fully recovered now. He gives full attention to each and every patient and listens to your concerns very carefully and solves them as well. Even though he is so busy, he always gets back to you quickly if you message him with any concern. I thank god that he was on call that day in the hospital which I was admitted to.

As my father has been suffering from severe cartilage pain that not allowed him even to walk few steps. After the spinal surgery, my father can walk without pain as a new life added for him.
