He has completed his MCh – Cardio Thoracic and Vascular Surgery from G B Pant Hospital/Moulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi in 1999, MS – General Surgery from PUNJAB UNIVERSITY, CHANDIGARH in 1994 and MBBS from the University of Pune in 1990.
He worked at the Escorts Heart Institute, New Delhi for over 5 years and working in the field of cardiac surgery for the last 22 years.
He practices the whole spectrum of adult, pediatric (non-complex), cardiac, thoracic and vascular surgery.
He has been involved in over 22,000 open heart surgeries (combined experience) and independently performed over 4000 open-heart surgeries.
He has been respected with Fellow Indian Association of Cardiothoracic & Vascular – 2003 honour. He is also a member of the Indian Association of Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgeons.

He did my Mitral valve replacement surgery early match 2020 just before the covid pandemic altered all our lives in the country. He has singularly been the best support right through the whole experience, from pre to postoperative care. his team have been exceptionally accommodating and caring with all my challenges post operative. Dr Matthew himself has been extremely reassuring in dealing with any and all anxiety, apart from successfuly conducting my surgery. Forever indebted to him and his team.
