After obtaining his MBBS degree from VMMC and Safdarjung Hospital, Delhi, he completed his M.D degree in Internal Medicine from PGIMER & Dr RML Hospital, Delhi. He further pursued his doctorate degree (D.M) in Endocrinology and Metabolism from Medical College Kolkata. He has received Speciality Examination in Endocrinology & Diabetes certificate from the Royal College of Physicians, UK and the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists.
