He has done his MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, MD in General Medicine from Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital, and DM in Nephrology from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi in medical textbooks. He has a vast teaching experience of more than 20 years for postgraduate students and 12 years of experience in post-doctoral teaching. At present as Sr. Consultant Nephrology at Kailash Hospital & Heart Center Noida, previously Head of Nephrology Unit at Batra Hospital & Medical Research Center (New Delhi)and Ex- Consultant & HOD- Dept of Nephrology PGIMER & Dr.RML Hospital, New Delhi. I have Post D.M.(Nephrology) 26 Years of Experience as a nephrologist and Transplant Physician.
Recently superannuated as HOD of Nephrology from Dr. R.M.L Hospital& PGIMER in July 2014 and here I got the opportunity to develop full-fledged state of Art Nephrology Department from inception including state of Art Hemodialysis unit, Peritoneal dialysis center and Renal Transplant Unit D.M (Nephrology) course was started for the Five years before my superannuation

I have been Consulting Nephrologist for the Ex-Prime Minster of India and Past President of the Delhi Nephrology society. I have been awarded National Health Care Excellence Award 2016 as the best nephrologist of Delhi & NCR Area.

He always looked after him in a proper & systematic way and ensured that his health remains good. He was also the incharge for dialysis of my father for 3 years and he always did his best in helping my father stay healthy without facing any problems. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Sham Sunder is one of the finest doctors I have ever consulted. Commenting on his credentials is not appropriate for me since his stature is beyond this. His being Physician to the PM is testimony of the same.
I consulted him for hypertension, fatty liver grade 2 and associated kidney issues. He patiently heard me and briefed the treatment approach in detail.
Within 45 days, fatty liver is grade 1 from grade 2, BP is within control and lipid profile is well within limits.
