NEW DELHI, 7 DEC: A man suffering from juvenile rheumatoid arthritis, a debilitating childhood illness affecting all joints of body, has been cured of his severe deformities. For the first time in the world, a single surgeon has performed all four replacements also spinal osteotomy to help the man walk after 18 years.
Chitra, 27, a Nepalese man was in very poor health, unable to walk due to severe joint deformities for last 18 years. His case was referred from a NGO run by Dr Anil Parajuli.
