The way he treats the patients and give the explanation to the patients about what all to do and what one should not do is appreciable. Now I am fit and also have continued my daily routine training.

I am writing this 6 weeks after my surgery (arthroscopic bankart repair) and the recovery has been progressing well and even better than my expectations!
I visited Dr. Sushal after 3 years of recurrent subluxation due to shoulder instability. He took the time to understand the history, the present condition and explained it very well. He patiently explained all the questions in detail and helped my family and me understand both the surgical procedure and the underlying condition anatomically through drawings and videos. Just after the first visit, all my apprehensions were gone and I was mentally prepared for the surgery and I believe that is very important for any procedure.
Post-surgery, he gave me confidence at each stage of the recovery and that helped just as much as the exercises :D
Overall, I felt that he is a wonderful person and I really appreciate the support he has provided till now. I would definitely recommend Dr. Sushal to anyone with a shoulder or an orthopedic injury.

My shoulder was dislocated before 2 years while playing Kabaddi. It was put back by a local doctor. However there was always pain and the feeling of it coming out. Then I met Dr. Sushal. I was frightened when Dr suggested me for a surgery. Since it was my first hospitalization. In any case, Dr had made it simple and as straightforward as possible. Post surgery I have completely recovered all my movements and extremely satisfied.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I consulted Dr.Sushal for my shoulder impingement. He suggested to go for Physiotherapy and exercises to strengthen the rotator cuff muscles. I can say that i have been able to recover in 2.5 months and my symptoms are almost gone. I would recommend Dr. Sushal for any shoulder related injuries as he will definitely provide the advise whats best for every patient.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My wife had to undergo arthroscopic shoulder surgery on 8 June at Manipal Hospital , Old Airport Road, Bangalore. Her team of surgeons , headed by Dr Sushal Shantakumar, the eminent shoulder specialist surgeon of Praxo Orthocare, , supported by Dr Supreet and Dr Parshant, was extremely capable, supportive and communicative, so neither she nor I felt the least bit of uncertainty. This was both, before and after the surgery. This was further enhanced by Nurse Merlin Simon, from the Operation Theatre team, who made sure I was constantly updated, during the entire time my wife was under surgery. Ms Merlin also helped in sorting out other issues that cropped up from time to time, after the surgery , right upto, and including discharge. She was like our personal aide, a facility I have not experienced in any other hospital. It would also be necessary to mention Mr Laxmipathy, from admission , who made the admission process easy and quick; and then went out of his way to help with the insurance issues during the discharge process. All in all , Manipal Hospital was a rare experience of a gifted surgical team backed up by a quality support team, committed to making it the best possible experience in the circumstances.
