★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My brother Purusottam Biswas, 52 years old had been suffering from back ache problem in Spine at L-3 – L-4 since last two years .During this period I consulted many doctors and they have advised for Surgery. I was confused what to do. Some of colleagues suggested me to visit Chennai for spine surgery.
I met Dr. Atul Shrivastava an Orthopedic Surgeon of R N Tagore Hospital, Kolkata .Dr. Shrivastava checked my brother thoroughly and made me aware the exact problem of my brother. Dr. Shrivastava clearly said that the problem couldn’t be cured by medicine or physiotherapy and suggested Spine surgery.
Dr Shrivastava referred to Dr.Susmit Naskar, Spine Ortho. Surgeon of Narayana Hospital, Howrah.
We met Dr. Susmit Naskar and he listened my brother’s back problem patiently and gone through all reports.
Dr. Naskar explained the brother’s exact problem very simply manner to understand and advised for Surgery. I was very scared considering future complications after Spine surgery but Dr. Nasker answered all my queries and made me comfortable and also assured me that after operation Patient will get relief from all problems. He also suggested all sorts of advice on how to reduce expenditure. After discussing with our relatives, and also with Dr.Shrivastava, we have decided for Spine surgery of my brother with 2 Nos. Platinum Rod & 4 Nos. Platinum Screw through MIS process.
Surgery went over 6 hours on 18.11.2020 and was completely successful. Very next day after surgery my brother walked without any support & problem and discharged on 3rd day of operation.
After few days, Dr. Susmit Naskar called once asked my brother about his health condition this was unexpected for us.
At present my brother is absolutely fine and walking regularly as per Doctor’s advice without any problem.
Doctor Susmit Naskar is really outstanding Doctor for the spine. His behavior is also nice and polite. We need many Doctors like as Dr. Susmit Naskar in our West Bengal.
We certainly need more doctors like him in our state.
I would like to recommend Dr. Susmit Naskar as one of the best Surgeon for each and every one facing spine and back related problem.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr Naskar is like God to us. I was suffering from C4-C5 myelopathy (which resulted in numbness of hands and legs, and reduced strength and balance). I had consulted many doctors who had asked me to opt for surgery, but I didn't gain confidence in any of them until I consulted Dr Naskar. He explained the situation to me and my family in the best way possible, and reassured me that I would become perfectly fine within 2 days of surgery. His behaviour and friendly nature relieved me of any stress or tension regarding my operation. He is by far the most efficient surgeon I have come across. It has been one week since my surgery and I am glad to say that I am perfectly fine now, thanks to Dr Naskar. There are many of us who want to go down south for treatment due to lack of trust in doctors in Kolkata, but Dr Naskar proved this thinking of mine wrong. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Dr. Susmit Naskar is an excellent doctor and saved my father in-law from being paralysed. He was suffering from cervical myelopathy(C2-C7). This resulted in very less sense in hands and legs, and reduced strength and balance. He stopped walking completely.
We were not even aware of this problem for last 6 months until we consulted Dr. Naskar.
We had consulted many Neuro doctors who couldn’t diagnosed the problem.
He explained the situation to us in the best way possible and reassured that my father in-law would become after the surgery. His utmost patience, soft behaviour and friendly nature relieved my father in-law of any stress or tension during his operation. He is the best and most efficient surgeon we have ever seen. It has been around a month after the surgery and we are happy seeing him getting recovered fast. It was only possible because of Dr. Naskar. Thank you so much Dr. Naskar. I would strongly recommend Dr Naskar.
