“I came to Dr. Tarush taking opinion of my mother's health. She's been diagnosed with Auto-immune disorder in 2020 and after that Covid hit her. It all slowed down her process and with a case of Osteoporosis as well her bones started showing signs of aches and pains. We tried every possible treatment but her right arm was losing control and couldn't hold grip. She went through painful nights and finally doctors suggested surgery. With our previous consultation, I wasn't satisfied with the response. I came to Indian Spinal Surgery and here I was referred to Dr Tarush Rustagi. He examined my mother thoroughly and mentioned all the minute details. The best part was when he said let me consult the radiology dept. for her reports. They are better equipped with the knowledge. I was observing everything about him from his polite behaviour, sense of humour, clear communication and being courteous in handling the case. In the meantime when my mother was sitting in his cabin I went through his profile and all the feedback. I was convinced and told my mom we will go with this now. He was not interested in what our insurance covered. He said L5-6 are to be operated on and will not with the implant as her bones are tender and will not be able to handle it. I was super impressed with every word he mentioned. My mother has now completely recovered under his correct diagnosis and treatment. I had a Microdiscectomy surgery on Aug 31, 2021. Having surgery at age 36 was nerve-wracking, but I’m so glad I opted to have it when I did, despite everything occurring at the time. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I was experiencing excruciating mid back pain since the summer of 2020. I consulted Dr. Tarush Rustagi at the Indian Spinal Injuries after a few months and got diagnosed with multi vertebral spinal tuberculosis (worse at D7-D8). He has been taking care of my line of treatment in curing the disease since then. Line of treatment being oral medicines in the initial stages. Then later on, my spine had become very weak due to the infection and to a point where Dr. Tarush advised me to go for a surgery in order to stabilise the mechanical pain and to prevent potential fractures in the spine, as the infection was progressing (now, at D5-D-12) . Surgical options were discussed in details with all the pros and cons of it with my family and myself.
The Surgery:
The surgery took place on 5th June'2021.
GSM + CS spine implant was fixed in my spine (from D-4 to L1) during the surgery which took around 4-5 hours.
After effects:
The surgery was a big one so delayed recovery was expected. Initial few days were indeed very restless. I was taken under observation at CCU for the next 24 hours. The staff of The Indian Spinal Injuries was very cooperative and competent and helped me everytime I called for it without any delay.
Now, it's been more than a month since my surgery took place. I have started walking on my own. The recovery feels magical since I was not expecting it so soon.
Special thanks to Dr. Tarush for taking good care of me and giving me the right line of treatment since the day 1. He was always available whenever we needed to talk and kept a check on my health throughout this process.
He's indeed one of the most experienced, proficient and skilled spine surgeons out there.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A fabulous doctor who understands the problems of his patients. Dr. Tarush is someone whom everyone should consult for spinal issues. I recently had a spinal surgery as my nerves were getting blocked and the surgery was must. I consulted several doctors and everyone told me that the surgery is risky. But Dr. Taush did not say anything like that and in fact motivated me to stay calm. The surgery was done very smoothly and I have not experienced any other complication till now. In fact, with the help of Dr. Tarush's prescribed medicines and exercises, I have started to stand up and walk on my own after just 1 month of the surgery without any pain. I had a neck injury which was later diagnosed as C5 fracture and was admitted under emergency when one of my friend recommended Dr Tarush at Spine centre.. My case was critical at it had been 3 days since the injury and severe pain..
Since, this was our first such encounter, my parents were worried about their son. He was patient, with explaining the entire operating process and detailed follow ups. He guided us with post surgery procedures, sitting and sleeping postures, pick up minor movements for improvement - time to time growth moving from support collars to normal lifestyle.
