★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have very special memories associated with this hospital, because one of my brothers has been treated in this hospital and recently one of my sisters has been treated. And it is about 17 kilometers from our home Sikta, it is located in Raxaul, which is also very close, so it makes us comfortable to get treatment here. One thing I have observed by looking at the treatment here, is that no matter what happens to your patient, but there is definitely satisfaction from their treatment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Established in 1930 by Dr Cecil Duncan a Scottish surgeon, the hospital has been serving the people of India and Nepal ever since. At present having 200 beds it is equipped with an ICU, HDU, NICU, labor room, operation theatres, well equipped laboratory, blood banking and numerous other facilities like CT scan, USG, and an artificial limb center. Clinical services offered are medicine and critical care, general surgical, paediatric, obstetric and gynaecology, radiology, orthopaedic and spine surgery, physical medicine and rehabilitation, dental and psychiatry.
Training services include a nursing school, lab school and numerous research projects. The hospital treats over 1,25,000 patients in the OPD each year and admits over 14,000 patients each year. Over 3500 babies are born here each year and about 2500 surgeries conducted each year.
A large community program involving over 80+ workers are involved in maternal and child health, advocacy, community based rehabilitation, prevention of human trafficking, mental health and palliative care, safe village programs, etc

The Duncan hospital was established in 1930 by Dr Cecil Duncan a Scottish Surgeon to provide health-care to people in Bihar and neighboring Nepal. The hospital is strategically located at the border of Northern Bihar & Nepal and has 200 beds. It provides services of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, General Medicine, Surgery, Paediatrics, Orthopaedic and Intensive Care. The Community health program Empowers Women & adolescent girls from vulnerable communities, people with disabilities, mental disorder, people with HIV/ AIDS; Community organization and advocacy for- sexual and reproductive rights, protecting vulnerable families from slavery and sustainable freedom.; Capacity building of government health delivery system; and Primary health care through clinics in peripheral health centers and mobile clinics in 3 blocks.
