I am a finance professional with close to three decades of experience across multiple sectors such as private equity and investment management, telecom, infrastructure, consumer goods and insurance.
I am currently engaged as a Director with a consulting firm call Collabrant Incubators. Collabrant (https://www.collabrant.in) is in the space of Business Incubation for Start-ups; Business Acceleration for Small & Medium Enterprises / Businesses (SME’s / SMB’s), Family Managed Businesses (FMB’s), New Divisions of Corporates and International Brands looking at India Entry; and Corporate Finance - assisting its clients & others in Fund Raising, M&A, Business Due-diligence, Partner Search and Outsourced management of deal flows for Angels, VC’s and PE’s.
Prior to this I was as the CFO and Partner at an Africa focused investment vehicle based out of Dubai. Prior to that I have been a CFO at multiple organizations such as Pepsico, AIG Insurance, Hutchison Whampoa over the past two decades. I have also worked across multiple geographies such as India, Africa and the Middle East.
In addition to my finance role I have also had privilege of leading telecom operations in Africa across 3 countries as the CEO and Managing Director. My stint in telecom in Africa required me to turnaround the telecom operations for a Middle East investor and prepare it for sale. This was achieved successfully culminating is the sale of operations across two countries to an in-market strategic. This sale of the entity was preceded by a telecom tower transaction which on one of the earliest such transactions in Africa.
I recently sat on the board of one of the largest renewable energy companies operating in India, Greenko, which has GIC Singapore and ADIA, Abu Dhabi as shareholders. Apart from being an independent director I also chaired the audit committee. The company has an asset base of over $ 5 billion and has over 4000 mw of renewable energy projects across India.
