A beautiful and historical open ground in Indore City, especially kept reserved for a very old tradition call Dashahara (Dussera Or also known as Vijay Dashmi) since the times of Holkar Dynasty. The Holkar Kings used to come to this place every year on this auspicious day "Dashahra" on a chariot from their royal palace called Rajbada to perform this one of the most propitious rituals of India, which symbolises the destruction of the Demon Raavan by the King Shri Raam. In this most famous ritual a Mannequin of Raavan is made, filled with fire crackers, which is put to fire ?at the end of the ceremony. And this is how every year Dashahara ( Vijaya Dashmi) is celebrated in India. Dashahara Maidan has been a beholder of this this historic event every year when thousands of people gather here to celebrate and enjoy this victory for many many centuries. Now on other days this ground is mostly used by people for cricket, morning and evening walk, also used for Political, Religious and other activities like Funfair and Book Fair.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Nice place. It's big ground and good for learning cricket and football. There are cricket club also available. In the days Novartis there are so many people playing garba and after that in dussehra here done the holy moment of celebration of dussehra, having lots of fun.
