About Dyal Singh College, University of Delhi
Dyal Singh College owes its origin to the extreme generosity and foresight of Sardar Dyal Singh Majithia, founder of ‘The Tribune’, Punjab University and ‘Punjab National Bank’, who willed his vast wealth in 1895 for the setting up of an Education Trust for a truly secular college. Consequently, Dyal Singh College was established at Lahore in 1910. After the Partition of India, Dyal Singh College was established in Karnal and in 1952 at Delhi. It started functioning in the capital at Rouse Avenue as a constituent College of the University of Delhi w.e.f 05.08.1959 and at present location since 16.10.1962. During 1963-1967, it functioned in 2 units from 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. The University of Delhi took it over as a University Maintained institution in 1978.

Qualified faculty for respective dept. Nice shady area inside the college to avoid the rashy Sun.
Filled with extracurricular activities.
A decent place to get exposed to a plethora of culture, especially the student communities.
A decent off campus.
Closely connected with Delhi metro, JLN Station. And Bus terminals. And within the proximity of Indian Habitat centre, NIA and many other important bodies.
There are a lot of pros and cons yet it is still a considerable place to study for a bright future.

This college has everything canteen , outside food stalls, seminar halls a lot of washrooms, good library, auditorium , computer lab, a big ground. This college has everything. It is very spacious. Evening college English department is super good.

Faculty of my course was well educated.
The botany department is best among zoology and chemistry department.
There is a basketball court, rose garden inside the college.
The College is NAAC "A" accredited.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good College. Staff were helpful. Senior students were helpful in attending the new students and their parents /guardians regarding college admission. However, because of Covid nobody was allowed to go inside the campus which left many of the queries unanswered.
