Taste is subjective. I personally loved Josephine Rice and Chilly Fried Pork.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A century old restaurant still run by the same Chinese family (now 4th generation) where one gets some authentic Chinese food. Their signature dishes are Chimney Soup and Josephine Noodles. Chimney soup is served in a metal container fitted with a wood stove and chimney. With fire burning, smoking chimney and boiling soup, it is quite a novelty. Quantity is huge. Even the small one will easily serve four persons. Same is applicable for Josephine noodles. So one has to order very carefully. If there are two guests, only one of these dishes will be sufficient to satiate them.
The working hours are 12 pm to 3 pm and 6 pm to 10 pm. They accept only cash.
A visit for the food connoisseurs is strongly suggested.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Visited after long time. Past experience was very good (*****) but this time the experience was very bad.
We placed order for Eau Chew Special Soup 2/3 (Very Poor Quantity according to price) then Pork Fried Rice 1 (Very Poor Quantity according to price) All pork accompanied item was unavailable so we placed order for Garlic Chicken (Taste was not good) also we ordered for Mixed Meifoon they said it will take some time. We said please give the soup first then Fried Rice and Garlic Chicken after that you give Meifoon. After 45-50 minutes we asked for Meifoon then they said it will take another 15-20 minutes. Ultimately we changed our order and finished our dinner.
We'll not visit again and recommending don't waste your money and time.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ We had the famous Chimney soup, lemon honey chicken and special fried rice.
The soup was the medium non-vegetarian one, and that would be good for four. We were just two people, so had a slight difficulty to complete it. It was delicious and filling.
We took the rice and chicken as take out. It was good. Will visit again to try more food.

Where I read in Chinese Eau Chew means Europe. The real purpose was to pull the European team.

I went to eat chimney soup to eat .. but if 3 people swallowed that soup I couldn't eat anything else so I put it on the exclusion list.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's okay kind of Chinese restaurant.. One of the oldest restaurant in the city... Ambience is not up to the mark.. Overall food quality is okay... But the price is on the higher side compared to the taste... But yes their "Chimney Soup" is really awesome... A must try dish if you visit there..
