A sharp disparity between him & others is that other tutors get easily annoyed when you are having too many queries, with him the situation is opposite, he won't let you go till there are no queries left in your mind. You can interpret his methodology as someone who preaches from how to hold a pen to how one should finish a thesis. Nowadays many tutors favour just finishing the syllabus somehow, but he is among those who advocate the genesis of a robust foundation.
