Payment:
Payment for the Bonds will be through electronic funds transfer / cheque / demand draft
Redemption:
The redemption price will be in Indian Rupees based on previous week's (Monday-Friday) simple average of closing price of gold of 999 purity published by the Indian Bullion and Jewellers Association Ltd (IBJA).
Though the tenor of the bond is 8 years, early encashment/redemption of the bond is allowed after fifth year from the date of issue on coupon payment dates. The bond will be tradable on Exchanges, if held in demat form. It can also be transferred to any other eligible investor. In case of premature redemption, investors can approach the concerned bank/Post Office/agent thirty days before the coupon payment date. Request for premature redemption can only be entertained if the investor approaches the concerned bank at least one day before the coupon payment date. The proceeds will be credited to the customer's bank account provided at the time of applying for the bond.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have used many banks, I have been using federal Bank account of Bangalore branch from past 5 years. I was in agra and due to a emergency case I wanted to transfer 2 lakhs rupees so i straight away went to agra branch and asked to deposit the amount in my bank account. The cashier refused on face telling bring the photocopy of aadhar card then we can deposit. My brother was intensively looking for photocopy shop nearest shop was 2km away from the branch. Now how should I do that.? And why is aadhar required for deposit, forget it. I even said them if you want I can mail the aadhar to you. Or please provide me an alternative. It seemed like people were careless and it was there end of the day. They just wanted to close and go.
The reason I was frustrated because in the morning I used my dad's SBI account to transfer the funds and also my brother's bank of maharashtra both the banks did not ask anything. However they just confirmed the pan card was attached to my bank account.
