★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gokulam is the Ashram dairy which is about a kilometer from Ashram. Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam was started to take care of the cows as a benevolent gesture by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Keeping in mind His teachings, the highest reverence is accorded to the cows. The barren and old cows are not discarded, but cared for as long as they are alive. Gokulam has a beautiful Statue of Lord Sri Krishna. Artistic 'fill-ins' on Lord Sri Krishna's face were done by Bhagawan Baba Himself.
Gokulam is dairy supply milk to Baba's Ashram canteen. On Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba's Birth day -Baba gives healthy cows to poor families as Godan - Donating Cows to poor families as per number of years of Baba's Birth Day. I have visited Gokulam - all Cows and calf very healthy. They maintain Gokulam with all facilities. I had a nice time at Gokulam : Sri Sathya Sai Gokulam at Prasanthi Nilayam, Puttaparthi, Andhra Pradesh, India.
