★ ★ ★ ★ ★ this place speaks of history, of splendors of the past and now tells the story of a great family. we are not been in a "hotel" like others, we lived an experience that involved all senses: sight for the beauty of the fort begu, the Cenotaph and the Palace on the Lake, the colors of the people greeted us in the Street - the smell and taste with delicious food of the family tradition, the hearing for the tranquility of the place and stories told us by the owner. We were not expecting at all this, we are happy to have been here and to have lived this experience. They treated us and out driver also with the best indian hospitality.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Fort begu is a little gem hidden in the small town of Begu. It’s like living in a fairy tale. You will be transported to the times of kings and queens in a magical world. We stayed in Fort Begu for 3 days and have amazing memories for a lifetime. The place is run by the descendants of the royal family and Mr Ajay Raj Singh Begu welcomed us into his family home warmly. We were taken to the summer palace twice and both times it was enchanting. We will forever cherish those memories.
Our room was amazing with beautiful stain glass work and carvings.
The food was spectacular ,prepared from authentic royal recipes handed down over generations. The staff was most helpful and made sure we were comfortable during our stay. Special mention of the staff member Mr Arjun who was so enthusiastic and showed us all around. His stories truly made history come alive.
If you are a traveller and not just a tourist then Fort Begu is for you!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Real heritage fort being maintained by the royal family. Adequate modern facilities have been provided. Service is very good. But very old and infirm persons should avoid going to the Fort since there's no lift, naturally.

Hospitality at its peak and the guidance for the site is tremendous.
