Anup Rau is presently the Managing Director & CEO of Future Generali India Insurance Company Limited (FGII). Before joining Future Generali, Anup Rau had been associated with the insurance industry in India for over 20 years. He has worked in leadership positions across various leading insurance companies. Anup Rau is one of the very few professionals who has had the privilege of heading both, Life and Non-Life insurance companies.

Anup Rau started his career in 1995 as a Sales Engineer with Gilson Medical Electronics, Delhi. There he was responsible for the sales and service of pipettes. In 1998, he joined DCW Home products as a sales officer and was responsible for selling “Captain Cook” brand salt and flour to shopkeepers in Hooghly, West Bengal.

Anup Rau started his career in the Insurance Industry in 2000, when he joined ICICI Prudential Life Insurance as a founder member and subsequently rose through the ranks to Head - Sales & Distribution. In his ten-year stint with ICICI Prudential, he worked in a variety of roles and was deputed to various geographies. He set up over 2000 branches, Recruited and Sustained over 15,000 staff and 100,000 active agents, Spearheaded Product Development, Sales & KYC compliance. During his tenure, Anup built various business from scratch including GCC, Health and Proprietary Sales Distribution.

Anup Rau has also worked with HDFC Life Insurance as a Chief Distribution Officer. He ran a highly profitable Bancassurance channel, a strong proprietary Tied Agency channel and set-up broking, corporate agency and GCC operations which grew to leadership positions in the private space. As Chief Distribution Officer of HDFC Life he is credited with improving the company’s market position from No. 4 to No. 2 amongst Private Insurers.

In 2013, Anup joined Reliance Nippon Life as MD & CEO. During his 4 years tenure there, he increased the company’s revenue significantly with double digit (CAGR) premium growth, while the rest of the industry declined during the same period. Under his leadership, Reliance General became the largest Non-Bank Promoted Insurer in India (from 5th position earlier).

Anup was also associated with Edelweiss General Insurance Company Limited as Executive Director & CEO, where he worked between December 2016 and May 2019. During his stint, he has helped in setting up the operations of the Company and in building the core team. He developed the strategy and products and took the company “live”, delivering over 100 Crs of topline in the first full year of operations.

Anup has also received numerous awards with his most recent awards being The Economic Times Asia’s Promising Business Leaders of 2021-22, Business Leader of the Year - World BFSI Congress and Awards – 2022, CEO of the Year – BFSI (CMO Asia Awards - 2021), Business Leader of the Year - World Leadership Congress – 2021 and The Economic Times Most Promising Business Leaders of Asia Award – 2020-21.

Guy this company is fake and this company HR is also fake first he is taking interview and after that for confirmation this company is taking 15 to 20 days and after that they are saying we are not able to join you which HR name is Edwin sabu and this HR is so rude disgusting experience with that so dont go for it also they are not trustworthy people they are asking everyday single documents and this is a very bad place to work. Even their is no professionalism

The above survey isn't right plz absolutely never purchase any arrangement from these folks. My vehicle guarantee couldn't passed and there surver said that I am indicating false adhare card.and request me a cheaque duplicate. What's more, this will take around a month and still it was in pending. So plz absolutely never purchase anything from them.

The above review is wrong plz don't ever buy any policy from these guys. My car claim could not passed and there surver said that I am showing false adhare card.and demand me a cheaque copy. And this will take around a month and still it was in pending. So plz plz don't ever buy anything from them.

Fraud company. I had issued a claim for my car in September 2018, but now its November end, I have not got the claim. They are so clever that they refused to give claim by saying that we have refused to take and once dismissed cant be raken again.

A Fraud Company. Their Car insurance is the worst in the market and after sales service is also crappy. Their Claim reviewers are external parties and they save money by not giving you the actual claim for your car, by giving stupid technical reasons. My car is still waiting for the proper approval from the last 15 days. I would strongly suggest not to take insurance from them. Atleast avoid Car insurance.

Every time you call different executive comes on lone so the continuity of issue could not be understood and every one give different process to follow no standard procedure know to executive. No prompt reply to e meal in resolving the issues . Delay in response, passing on the problems to different department is the information given to customers. I am surprised and in a fixed dilam that for policy renewal and transfer of policy so much of difficulty one has to under go , later if by chance if any accidental claim is made what will be status of the customer, how much one has to go through the difficulty to get the claim passed . Sorry state of affairs with this pvt insurance company . Too sad and diprrssing. Namaste, thanks

Third class insurance service. They do not provide timely approvals . My vehicle's delivery order is pending approval and they are just sitting on it and providing no approval. I will definitely not renew the insurance from this company further. Stay away from this company.
