I would encourage parents to do some research and talk to other parents especially those whose daughters are in 11/12 and in the science stream. Worst can happen - teachers campaign in class X and misguide/threaten the students not to change school for class XI. If one thing I would regret in my life that would be - I failed to convince my daughter to change her school for class XI. There is another very serious issue that I can't disclose in the public domain.

I spent my 13 years in this school and it had been a very good experience. Teachers are helpful and they will make you understand the topic very nicely. You'd get one of the best English teachers here and this is very much true. Keeping all the mishaps this school has faced, it is still very good at providing proper education and other cultural programs. If you're diligent enough, you'll pass out with amazing marks. All the best!

Horrible school and staff. I am an ex student and I can say all positive reviews are fake. They target teenage girls and scar their minds for a lifetime. Usha Ramani, A. Kumar, Sukanya Mukherjee, Mandira Basu - A few names to remember forever who were jealous of pretty young teens.

Lots of unexpected events has happened in past. Teachers are not at all kind with their students. Every year they will hike their fees unnecessarily. In recent past Kolkata High court has given judgement against the school but they are not ready to abide the same. This is more of a business institution (profit making organisation)rather than a school. Every year you will get some bad news about the school. That's why I've already changed the school for my daughter. Actually, I shouldn't give 1 star also.

Almost all the private schools in WB excepting a few are very poorly managed. They are established only with monetary intentions. They employ teachers who are academically poor, very bad in teaching as well as taking care of kids and adolescents. There is no proper channel of resolving queries and grievances of guardians and the whole atmosphere they create is pretty oppressive and non democratic. Lack of political interest and legal remedy are contributing to this agony. No talent can flourish if the situation is that gloomy. Needs action before we lose a generation because of these dishonest businessmen.

Gdb is the worst school, trust me. 4 weeks before exam, they tell you that you'll have 80 marks offline exam with the whole book. 2 weeks before they change it to half (we hence wasted two weeks). Later, after a day or two, they add few more. They include portions which were never taught in the first place. Even after all these, the safety the school insured, including sanitizing classrooms and washrooms after our recess, are not fulfilled. The staffs are ASKING US FOR OUR TIFFIN. Wait, i am not done. Everyday the school is receiving atleast 5 notes from parents that their child is sick after attending school. Our school is spending lakhs on some freaking FOUNDER'S DAY and INCREASING our fees during this pandamic.

Please do not send your kids to this school, you'll be messing up their mental health, I've been studying here for 8 years, the teachers are very rude, most of them are highly unqualified and unprofessional, the vp and headmistress are the worst. They do not care about the students at all. The infrastructure and extra curricular activities are horrible. The classrooms are untidy, congested and unclean. The crowd is also very bad. If I had known what I was getting myself into, I would've never gone to this school.

I am proud to be a GDBian. I have been studying in this school for 10 years now, and I am elated that I am a part of this amazing school. The teachers are extremely helpful and teaches us very well. Principal Sir is also really nice; he will always listen to you if you have any problem and will try his best to help you ✨. Extreme security measures including surveillance cameras (CCTV) are present to ensure everyone's safety. Teachers and the staff care about our mental health by not pressurizing us to study and instead, making studying fun for us so that we can actually relax and enjoy studying. Extra classes are provided to students who need a little bit more attention. Classrooms are spacious and airy. And about the sitting arrangement, we can sit very comfortably and can also work very comfortably and still have a lot of free space to roam about inside classrooms.. The school provides a green environment ☺?. A mega event: Spectrum, takes place every 5 years and that in itself is a super experience. Extra curriculars are a lot of fun and you can also get a lot of opportunities to learn new things through ECA.......if you study regularly and diligently, you will pass with absolutely amazing marks. You can also learn a lot of new languages from ECA.....this is definitely one of the best schools in India ❀. Good luck!! ??
