★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Rajput dynasty Kachwaha that reigned at Gatore Ki Chhatriyan was responsible for maintaining the royal crematorium grounds. Maharaja Jai Singh II, the founder of Jaipur, chose the site in the 18th century. Since 1733, every Kachhwaha king has been cremated here.
The only missing cenotaph is Maharaja Sawai Ishwari Singh, whose burial took place at Jaipur's city palace complex.The Gatore compound follows Vedic architectural guidelines with Indo-Persian structural and arcuate building influences. Crematoriums are located north of the hamlet and sloping southwards, according to Vedic norms. A body of water, particularly a river, provides an ideal setting for the memorials. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An absolute must visit for architecture enthusiasts.
•Very peaceful and surreal vibe.
•Not as crowded as the forts. I suppose because not everyone wants to visit tombs.
•Plan this location before/after visiting Nahargadh fort as they are closeby.
•Need to pay a 15INR per person entry fee unless a composite ticket has been purchased at the City Palace.
• Closes by 5:30PM
• The security guard, the ticket vendor etc will offer to take you around like a guide for a fee which IMO is not necessary since all the information is available online.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ An offbeat place with spectacular architecture having crematorium grounds of rulers of Jaipur,,,The monuments offer beautiful picturesque views for pictures and you must visit if you want some peaceful place with less number of people...Those visiting Jal Mahal should definitely make a visit as it's worth for it...The entry ticket is just Rs 30 per person and you can park your vehicles outside...There's a Shiva Temple behind the premises which is supposed to be there before these monuments were constructed...There's a beautiful Ganesh temple for which you have to climb 365 stairs to reach...

I would suggest to take a guide, who will explain everything in detail.
Just seeing that doesn't give much experience without knowing the history.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The most underrated monument in Jaipur. These memorial tombs of Jaipur royalty are a must visit for people interested in architecture and history of Jaipur and Rajasthan. Well maintained and preserved away from the busy streets of Jaipur, this was a great experience.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This place is a delight, so quiet and peaceful. There is much to see and photograph in this well kept and tranquil spot. Lovely to visit somewhere that wasn't crammed with tourists and that wasn't full of litter. The entrance fee is excellent value and I'd urge anyone to spend a couple of hours here soaking up the atmosphere.
The place is gorgeous, intricate designs can be seen everywhere, when I went it was even more beautiful because of the lush green trees. It's still a little unexplored so there werent many tourists around.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Beautiful place. It's one of the hidden gems of Jaiour, and therefore not very crowded. The tickets are cheap and the prices for tour guides are reasonable. Great place for photoshoots, you can also find green pigeons here. It contains the tombs of the rulers of Jaipur and is very photogenic. Also has small carvings based on Hindu religious scriptures.
