Since it get crowded in morning and evening so whole gates should be opened.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Good for playing games and recreational plays ..earlier it was well maintained now im a bit disappointed with the authorities..many people go there in the morning for walking,playing various games and earlier the bigger lights were turned on but nowadays in the winter the lights are turned off and its pretty dark in winters around 5am so its creates a bit of visibilty problems...it would be nice if they correct this ...

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gandhi Maidan of the the Godda town situated in the heart of the town is a good ground where various types of functions take place. Flag hoisting programmes on the occasion of Independence Day & Republic Day are organised here every year. Cultural programmes on the occasion of Republic Day are performed by the different schools of the town & it is always managed by the Dist Administration of the Godda Dist. The programmes run in the evening for about a week. Prizes distribution also takes place on this occasion and best award is conferred to the finally winner and 2nd prize is also given to the runner up school.
In this ground different types of games and sports matches are held here wherein GPL(Godda Premier League matches of cricket) is really very interesting and thousands of people gathers to enjoy the matches.
The following photos are on the occasion of the Jharkhand State Establishment Day on 15 Nov 2017, as the Jharkhand State was separated from Bihar State on 15th of Nov 2000.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ very best place for jogging and morning walk.all the function like indepence day and republic day celebrated Here with full joy crowd is little bit high on these days also cultural programs held here. In evening this ground is used for playing cricket volleyball and football.
