This school is also a landmark for a huge area surrounding its location named after the school, High School Para . Apart from education the school is also used for several purposes like pooling booths during elections , celebration of festivals like durga puja , cultural functions etc . There are also Aadhar enrolment centre, Voter list enrolment centre etc . inside the school.
