★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A man-made gateway built on the Mandavi Beach, the Gateway of Ratnagiri is a beautiful structure with a sloping roof in the Ratnagiri jetty with Mandavi beach. The beach in itself is a treat to eyes also provides an entry to the hilly terrains of Ratnagiri. There is a small jetty here and a lighthouse which offers spectacular views of the sea.
It overlooks the great Arabian sea and therefore provides an unique experience of a walk on the seashore, enjoying the marvelous breeze.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Very Beautiful place for someone who is beach person and want to spend good time with there loved ones.
There's 3 phases to visit :-
1 - Morning which is less crowded and peaceful time specially for morning walk, but no fast food stall will be available.
2 - Evening sunset time seaface always gives you surprise through its beautiful sunset tangerine rays and graceful weather so evening time is one of the best.
3 - late night as it's less crowded after 10 pm and it's beautifully decorated by lights and looks beautiful if ur night people that cold breez and waves sound mesmerise whole environment.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's not as great a place as it might seem but it's one of those places where there's a crowd and people visit this place mostly with families. One can get to view a good evening sunset and some waves in high tides. One can also spot some fishes and jellyfish in the water. There are fun games for the kids, some food stalls and hotels at this place too. Don't keep your hopes too high though.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Sort of a boardwalk that let's you 'walk' into the sea. Good place to soak in the sea breeze and enjoy the sights around. There are benches and sheltered spots to spend time.
The gateway itself is well maintained but the adjoining beach is dirty.
