★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have to write a very detailed review regarding my stay at Oyo Gouri Garden.
1) Bed and linen: On my first day of arrival, the check-in was delayed by 30mins. I was told that the room would be immediately cleaned and alloted. However, I found an already used towel inside the quilt. As claimed, in no way rooms were sanitized in front of eyes. After telling the hotel staff, they changed the bedsheet and provided new towel the next day.
2) Toiletry: No soap was provided. There was an already existing used soap in the washroom.
3) Issues of mosquitoes: A lot of mosquitoes were already present in the room. I was told that the hotel staff cannot do much help to this.
4) Hot water issue: The geyser used to be on for like 2 hours in the morning from 7-9am. Except that, every one has to use chilled water even for washing face or hands.
5) Room condition: I was alloted Room No.102. The room is probably damp and whilst the temperature at aligarh reached 4-5 degrees at night, it was impossible to sleep with a mere quilt. I had to wear thermals and heavy jacket along with muffler every night to sleep and stay in the room. In short, no provision for heating. Not at all recommended if one wants to stay alive in winters.
6) No wifi service was provided in my entire stay. I was told that their wifi connection has expired and they didn't recharge it.
In short, the stay was totally horrible whilst paying almost Rs. 1500 per day. Had I not have work at Gagan College (which is like walking distance from Hotel), I won't have ever booked this hotel. There are way better hotels even at Rs. 1000 with much better facilities and experience. Oyo, you disappointed me a lot. This was the last thing I would expect from you.
