GCC International School (ICSE) - Mira Bhayandar

First of all every one should know that this school is not affiliated with any board yet. For last 3 yrs they tried to get CBSE affiliation but due to insufficient infrastructure, school management were unable to get the affiliation. Now management is saying that they are trying to get ICSE affiliation which I am sure they are not going to get based on their infrastructure. Many parent like me got this socking news today during orientation program. Most of the schools have closed their admission now, all the parents are really annoyed by school Management behavior. We also met few parents who got their ward admission in this school for the first time, they were also surprised to know that school is no more CBSE and management is not letting anyone know about this unless people asks. They are making fool of parents. Please dont get misguided by their extra curricular activities. I will not advise anyone to get admission in this school.

My Child is studying here from Sr.Kg , I feel the school is constantly trying to upgrade themselves and I am happy with my child's progress, though their is lot of room, for improvement in many areas like better faculty and better communication from the school , overall I think they are doing good .

My Google Review # 000180. Have been visiting this school for 4 years now and every bit of experience here makes me feel, I should opt out. But, still I keep giving it one more chance.... The list is endless, but the ones which make an impact on your mind – good or bad – are jotted below. CONCERNS: Affiliations to study-boards in 4 years have kept changing - from IGCSE to CBSE & then to ICSE. Core expertise of the management is in Hotels. They run the GCC Club, a prestigious one in Mira Road. Venturing into education field, needs great amount of dedication, perseverance and last, but not the least, --- a child-centric approach to come at par with the best in the industry, which is missed here quite often. During non-school hours, the premises is used EXTENSIVELY for corporate events, wedding functions, birthday parties etc. Sometimes, these events are held during school hours, by cordoning of the stairs. This impacts the security level of the students to a great extent. """Rather, 8 months ago, a Google reviewer has mentioned “GCC school – An excellent place for wedding”"""…. Seriously!!!! The school faces GCC Club’s kitchen on other side of the road, which is frequented with vegetable trucks, garbage collection vehicles etc. These vehicles arrive mostly around the children’s arrival/ dispersal times, which only adds to more chaos on the road. GCC needs to modify their timings for a peaceful movement. Even after 4 years, I do not see any improvement. Swimming classes for students are given in Club’s pool. However, if there is any personal function going on, these classes are cancelled. STRANGE, BUT, TRUE! Also, the pool is 15ft deep at one end, which is not permitted as per schooling guidelines. NOT SURE IF THIS IS SAFE FOR CHILDREN of 6-8 yrs. Only sport promoted is skating, which does not make you much of a sportsman, giving the nature of this activity. The turf is recently created, after 3 years. The sewage deposits @ the club end’s are picked up the same day, as it is frequented by who’s-who of Mira Road. But, the sewage deposits on the school’s end is not picked up for 6-7 days and children have to walk past-by them. This does not impact the Club’s customer experience and the School doesn’t take it on priority either. With managements being the same, the approach should be equal. GOOD EXPERIENCES: The premises are kept neat & clean. Something, yet to be seen in other schools in this vicinity. Fee are clearly communicated from day one and decently structured as per the facilities provided. Timely bus services, spacious corridors, secured premises and well-mannered staff are an added advantage here. Well-designed classrooms and child-friendly interiors are also worth mentioning there. I don't know why many people have complaints about school. My major concern is education for my child and he duly receives it. This is an excellent school, we better than the likes of private and international schools in Mira Road.

One of the best school in Mira road, they adapted to the covid-19 situation very quickly and smoothly like starting virtual classes etc, The efforts put in by the teachers are really appreciable. The administration staff are also really helpful and understanding. Overall my child had a wonderful academic year in GCC.

Worst experience ever...."Totally Loot School" Please please please parents don't pay fees here in advance never ever...and please don't inform to GCC school before shifting school just attend the class and leave... The administration sitting there is useless..all the time they will ask to meet principal madam... Like they know nothing..just sitting there to say hello.. Now come to the point... My son styding there in jr kg ...and I shifted him to podar international school..I paid 3 quater fees before the session started in the month of February i.e 49000/- I paid ..total fees 70000/- ..class he attended Jun - Oct ..5 months only.. When I met principal madam ..she said she will not be able to refund the amount.. which I agree as it's a policy ..that's ok..than I said to allow my son to attend the online classes bcoz I paid 49000 so whatever month he will eligible school will allow to attend..... which she was agree and said adminstration will take care.. Like the way she talked to my husband..kuch bhi nahi hoga baat mat karna.is this not the right way to speak.. they said first pay more fees than you can attend..I said there is a lots of parents who are not paying fees just attending the class .so laxmi mam said that's there culture..like whats your culture you are showing to us ..I was a fan of GCC but sorry not now just because behaviour of administration staffs ..... Please parents now I have to say this think before you take admission here ..there is more schools which is far better than this...

I met with Laxmi Mam for enquiry she is so polite n kind towards each and every parent. The way she clear our doubts is appreciative. Keepup the great work mam??.

I am just disappointed with the admission staff, we met a lady for admission enquiry,don't know her name, we found her a little disrespectful. We generally asked if there is any concession in admission fee as most of the schools are offering it during this time,n she jst bluntly said then u take admission in those school. I found it very rude. If this is how they behave with new enquiries ,not sure how they will respond to our concerns later after admission. Also she was in so much rush n did not even sit with us for any queries. We r here to decide for our kids future so Lil patience n time is the least u can offer.
