Excellent management and planning. along with that food they provide is absolutely amazing.

I have experienced my first group tour with gem tours & travels to south africa from ahmedabad on the 11th march Definitely it didnt meet my expectations hence have taken the pain to write it here ; if i would like to describe it category wise I would rate it as below - Services before the tour - Good Ticketing - Good Visa - Good Overall knowledge of the tour leader - Yes here i have some real feedbacks to be given Our tour of 10 days had 4 guide/manager in all Starting from Johhanesburg - we had Deep a punjabi guy who was there with us for 2 days , he was good but could improve in his detailing of knowledge & overall very approachable guy & well behaved Then from the 3rd day we had a local guide called Jamiel October he was there till the end of the trip - he was the only guy because of whom our group enjoyed touring in south africa as far as knowledge & entertainment is concerned , very confident , very energetic & knowledgable person . Then from the 5th day we had a tour manager joining us along with Jamiel called Deepan P Shah - still didnt understand why he was there , literally he did all that he can to spoil our mood such an arrogangt guy with hell lot of attitude, misbehaved with the elders in the group (even abused for that matter) highly impatient & irresponsible person , he didnt let off a chance to divide our group not only did it end there - there was another group of gem that he knew was staying in the same hotel to whom he said looking at us " let the dogs bark , i will show these people my strenght when they land mumbai" ; Gem tours are u guys serious of associating this guy with your brand because urs is a brand people trust . Offcourse after his complaint to his bosses he was expelled from our group & then another manger called Amber joined in for the last 4-5 days , he was a decent guy tried to clean up depen's mess in our mind , deepan didnt leave the chance of misleading Amber as well while handing over the group when he said to Amber in front of us "Dont worry at all I m there & u know na what to do with these people , dont forget we both are 1 team" ; Oh hello we are here to njoy our vacation & not to see ur office politics . Overall Amber was ok , but needs to develop self confidence & communication skills Overall if these were the people for whom u had charged us some amount of tips in the package then sorry u have cheated on us , because this was not the quality we expected Quality of Hotels - Very Good Quality of Coaches - Very Good Inclusions of Attractions - Good Quality of meals - Good Would u recommend Gem tours to anyone - No What was the best part of the tour - the local guide Jamiel , the captain of the bus omar , the chef & offcourse our group & along with which the food was good thats it Area of improvement - 1. Planning could be better we lost a lot of time on the last day 2. We left the hotel at 3am on the last day to take a 6.30 flight and had a long way to go if almost 15 hours , ideally we should have been given a take away breakfast thats the least that we can expect from u 3.Tour managers to act & behave like managers who are there to manage everything so that guests are happy , they are not suppose to spoil some ones vacation , they must undergo rigourous soft skill & communications training as it is the utmost important thing in the service industry. Where did u hear about us - Few friends who have availed gem tours services in the past couple of months but will make sure i give this feedback to them as well Overall - Still scope for lots of improvement & trainings to the people , you should not forget U are in service industry & that u can only sell service which obviously has to be high standards if one has to sustain in the market Hope this feedback ignites the right mind to take the right decision & step towards achieving your company's bigger vision . Personally Africa was fantastic it could have been mind blowing had it been complemented with the right service partner ? - Priya Jain

Gem tours and travel have very good marketing team. As they offered complimentary three nights in phuket , if you book greece tour in advance!! When we paid full amount, suddenly from no where they just discounted all their offers. We were hight disappointed. Even in greece, we were told to have athens city tours. Which we had not offered because of their faulty management team..after bit of respect they offers us a dummy complimentary package of jodhpur which has no purpose of going as they ask us to pay 12k per person , per day.!! Highly disappointing services. Request to all do not attract by their promotional scheme. They are not trustworthy! Just one question to their team , is this your ethics to deal with your client??? That once you get money, you just discontinue with your agreement or clause.?

Firstly i would like to be very specific THIS COMPANY IS A FRAUD COMPANY .. IT'S TOTALLY A SCAM... We traveled to South Africa selecting the most premium package of 1,80,000 rs ... Now this company would surprise u ever morning with something new..let me tell u that in detail First two three days went well ..and then after that they started to behave like devils..we arrived mossel bay...it was mentioned that we are suppose to have a fiver star facility But wait..they started surprising us.. saying that u have only stay in five star rest is normal... Another morning get go for a breakfast...we were suppose to have a continental breakfast but wait this is gem tours ..they can't go as mentioned in itenary..they provided us a dosa..just a dosa and tea...they call it continental...i think continental includes so mamy cusines does dosa alone is considered as every cusine..we talk to tour manager tos sort this..but now another surprise u get..what he said" sorry it's not in my hand"..his name was manan.. It was mentioned that u will have a spa facility.. But wait again..this is GEM TOURS ....they gave a spa facility in the room having no ambience and its smaller than most of the public toilets in india..just imagine ..they said that a 5 STAR facility...they person who does spa to u.. doesn't know how to do that..just applying oil is spa for them And what was the worst thing 3 people will have spa for 1 hour together and rest whole group will wait .. remaining group can't go to hotel... beacuse THIER FIVE STAR FACILITY DOESN'T INCLUDE THE TRANSPORTATION TO HOTEL EVEN!!.. We compromised all this ... Another morning again they have thier continental breakfast ONLY DOSA and TEA MADE UP OF WATER BEACUSE THEY CONSIDER THAT TEA DOENS'T CONTAIN MILK AND TEA MASALA..... It was clearly mentioned in the itenary that we will have unlimited snacks during the journey wait ..why getting excited..this is GEM TOUR..have they followed the itenary earlier?..no ...this time also they won't.. They handed over the pack of cheeeseling worth 5₹ to each of us ..and said that that's ur UNLIMITED SNACKS..we complained about that ...we got an massive upgrade to SINGH... nothing worth that..i i mean do u call UNLIMITED SNACKS as PROVIDING SNACKS WORTH 5₹ EACH.... We complained ..BUT THIS IS GEM TOURS..WILL THEY LISTEN AND SOLVE THAT?..NO ..NEVER.. We were suppose to have 4 gala dinner again surprise.. that was mentioned at the time u made booking but not in ur itenary.... SURPRISED ??wait more are coming We are suppose to have stay at knysna GEM TOURS SURPRISE US SAYING WE AREN'T GOING THERE AS THE FIVE STAR HOTEL HAS GOT SOME WATER PROBLEMS...have u ever heard a five star hotel being closed for such small water issue ..we said that we'll manage that water problem..but no then also they didn't took us there.. Then we are suppose to have a complimentary helicopter ride don't get excited let me tell u .. What a ride was that ..u can bend down tie up ur shoe lace and stand again..and before u complete tie helicopter ride is over...i mean the time for helicopter ride was 2 min..i can't go to activa and start that in two minutes but they can complete whole helicopter ride... At the end of our trip we were suppose to have a table mountain .. moreover weather was clear...do u expect that we completed...we missed ..uk the reason ..the driver and tour manager AMBER made us wait on the side of the road for AN HOUR for thier personal work for banking..and we missed that . At last i would tell u that it os totally a FRAUD COMPANY INVOLVED IN SCAM .. don't book ur trip with them Stil can't believe me .. I'll give u some names just ask at their are they working there..they are in the company involved in FRAUD ...names are TARANA- sales representative who fools u by giving u the fake itenary which include the things which are never gonna take place MANAN- an unexpirenced small child who act as a tour manager..who don't have any authority VIREN SIGH- he is the at the top level who commits fraud..he is the head...we complain to him ..but he never resolver that .

We have been traveling every year with gem tours and travels. they have excellent management and they provide us amazing services
