I personally don't have any complaints regarding the services. And above all the G.P.O is a heritage building and the maintenance is also good. The atmosphere is cool, clean and beautiful.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ General Post Office (G.P.O.) is the head post office of Kolkata and West Bengal. Kolkata Postal District is widely distributed from Barackpore or Barasat for North 24 Parganas to Sonarpur or Joka for South 24 Parganas and Eastern side Bidhannagar (Salt Lake) or New Town City are also included. The G.P.O. is a unique shapes i.e. round shape. It's architectural style is mixed i.e. British and Nababi style. There are more space for the customers and for the general people. This is a unique structure within Kolkata. G.P.O. was established in 1868 at one part of the old Fort Willeum.
