This Bridge is known as the Abdul Hamid Bridge. Abdul Hamid was Hawaldar In Indian Army. Abdul Hamid Killed Many Enemies in the war of Kargil and in the end he got killed by the enemies. We are proud on the Abdul Hamid. Abdul Hamid Was from Ghazipur District. For this reason Ghazipur bridge was named as Veer Abdul Hamid Setu .Veer Abdul Got Pram Veer Chakra for his actions. Hamid joined the army in December 1954. He was born in 1 July 1933 in Dhamupur , Ghazipur. he died on 10 December 1965. His wife name is Rasoolan Bibi.
