★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a general market area and one of the largest one in the town of Sodepur-Panihati, mainly serving the eastern part of the town. Though it hosts a number of stores, financial institutions, grocery stores , general stores and a huge number of daily footfalls are witnessed, the condition of road infrastructure is pathetic. The pavements or the sidewalks are encroached by both stores and street vendors. There is no policing or civil check against the illegal parking on the road blocking half of the street, in spite of being under constant supervision of a traffic sergeant and within an arms lengths of the Ghola police station.
The Barrackpore Commissionerate and the Panihati Municipality along with district administration need to look at this bottle neck of traffic on the Sodepur-Barasat road immediately.
