The service is very lazed and seems like they only cater to big groups, events and functions.
I asked for pulao and they said minimum 10 plates we should order or they can't make in lesser quantity.
Well lit and good decor, well located.
Ambience : 4/10 (lots of mosquitoes and coil burning smell)
Food : 5/10 in terms of quantity, serving and quality.
Asked for pulao, recieved peas fried rice.
The snacks are "top" class !
Also the Bengali items and fish items : 8/10
Avoid Chinese, tandoori items.
Superb for typical bengali meals, thalis and fish curries.
Sometimes the whole place stays reserved so check ahead of visiting

β β β β β First Impression? The restaurant looked so beautiful. A curated mince of culture and art. There are two sections, one air conditioned and the other without one.
β οΈ You have to pay 10% extra to get that cold breeze!
Anyways let's jump to the review.
We went bonkers and ordered Thalis and since I got myself Paratha and Paneer (Since Naan and Even Phulka weren't available)!
The Thalis included Aloo Posto, Plain Dal, a Mix Bhaji, and depending on your choice a Chicken, Fish or Mutton Curry, accompanied with Plain Steamed Rice.
You also get a small portion on salad, a Roshogolla and chutney.
Of all this, only Rice, Daal and Aloo Posto was refillable and that's weird.
As for my Paneer Butter Masala and Parantha, the Paneer was supposedly the best thing served on the table that day. Little sweet and not as rich as north indian gravies. The Paratha though, was too greasy! I tried to avoid the Paratha but there wasn't any other bread available ?
Moreover, the food was too homely. I ain't saying Home Food isn't good, but I expect restaurant food bringing cherish on your face. Dad even said, that they have better Chicken at home?.
I guess the Veg Thali was more worthy than the non-veg one.

β β β β β If you're in shantiniketan and wish to visit authentic bengali restaurant, you must stop by Ghare Baire. The whole place is tastefully decorated and well maintained, clean and staffs were professional, service was quick. Food quality was average, compared to the price it would be reasonable.

β β β β β With a great ambience and perfectly Bengali aesthetics, Ghare Baire is a beautiful restaurant to enjoy lunch. This place is also a beautiful place to enjoy evening snacks too. The servers were very humble and great hospitality.
Items ordered - Fish cutlet, polau, fried rice, chicken kosha, mutton kosha

β β β β β We ordered bengali chicken thali of 275... everything in it was on ?..we cant even find a single bad thing about this entire place..boys r well dressed restaurant was well lightened except for the mosquito.
We even tried peas polao and believe me..it was 6 on 5..a must try at ghare baire.thalis items are enough for two person with one plate polao.
One thing to mention about the owner he is so much artistic with unique mind..the washroom got a rose in a ceramic cup β€οΈ

β β β β β It was a great experience to have a lunch at ΰ¦ΰ¦°ΰ§ বাΰ¦ΰ¦°ΰ§ in a beautiful afternoon. We tried the non veg thali comprising Rice, dal, fry, vegetables and mutton curry. The sweet at the end was also really tasty. We also ordered prawn curry and pabda fish in the meal. It was a great experience to have the meal in that beautiful place. The service was good and price was reasonable.

The hospitality of the great people in charge to serve you adds to the wonderful experience.
The seating arrangement is superb too, with combination of indoor and outdoor seating.
