Compared to the other sweet shops in Kanpur, it provides a better selection of Bengali sweets. But it will be below the average of a standard sweet shop of Kolkata.

Doesn't matter if you are a Bong or not, if in Kanpur and you want to taste the essence of Bengal through your taste buds, this is the place to go, near Gumti Gurudwara! On top of that, if you have a sweet tooth, then there's no reason why you shouldn't. Although me being a Bong, and spending quite some time near all the famous sweet joints of Kolkata, I must say impartially, that if not the best at least this place can be at par with many in terms of bong sweets. Although, I found some of their sweets being experimented with in their protocol of preparation (can't say whether they did it knowingly or unknowingly); and this kind of laid me back a bit. But if you ain't that much critical with absolute Bong sweets, you can very much enjoy to the fullest there.... ?

Authentic bengali sweets shop located on 80 ft Road. White chenna rasgulla and strawberry rasgulla are best in the city. Medium size rasgulla costs 11β‚Ή per piece. It is a very old and famous shop.

Every sweets looks delicious and among the 6 different sweets which I tried was extremely delicious. I've tried Sugar Rosogolla, Date plum jaggery Rosogolla, Jolvora, Plum jaggery Malai Chomchom, Jaggery Sondesh. All of these were awesome but jaggery Rosogolla and Malai Chomchom was extremely delicious. One should try their sweets. . Follow my journey with food on Instagram @foodoroshik . . The failed to even serve even fresh sweets I bought rasmali from the shop yesterday and in even less than 8 hours it started giving foul smell and sour taste . They gave me stale sweet probably which was 3-4 days old the big name of gosh has seemed to faded away avoid such fraudulent shops . You can see in the picture even the rasmali gravy is such thick and even its sticking due to its stale nature . Now such food waste both your money and time . Beware from this shop
