Gokhale Institute was established in 1936 R.R. Kale, member of the servants of India society.
It is the oldest Research and training institute in Economics in the country.
It is dedicated to research into the socio-economic dimensions of the Indian society and carries forward the legacy of Gopal Krishna Gokhale who founded the servants of India society in 1905.
The institute has a serene and beautiful campus of 5.25 acres and is located in the urban setting of Pune in Deccan Gymkhana area.

The overall collage was good campus..
This place was nice clean...green...it has large space..n historical construction increase their beauty...they maintained the garden... organization also cool..

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, commonly known as Gokhale Institute, is one of the oldest research and training institutes in Economics in India. I went there for a musical event organised by an external organisation early morning. The morning sunlight, beautiful vocals made the campus come to life. The buildings are solid stone, of a bygone era of Pune. They are conserved, and so are the ancient trees. Some buildings are retro fitted for the new age, but the campus looks timeless. Great place for film shoots which are history related.
