β β β β β Gonasika has 2 different temples , one is Sri Sri Brahmeswar Mahesh Temple, which is Shiva Temple and second is Gonasika Gupta Ganga Temple. Gonasika Gupt Ganga Temple is approx 2 kilometer farther deep inside forest. Both places are famous picnic spot of this area. Gonasika is approx 30 kms from Keonjhar town on National Highway 46 ( formerly NH - ). The whole area is deep forest area but safe for tourists, where you can enjoy the beauty of Nature. In rainy season, beauty of this area is unparallel. Road is good inside forest area also, with further improvement by adding new bridge for making this all year accessible. If coming with famil

β β β β β Such a calm and serene place. A small stream claimed to be the originating place of River Baitarani is worshipped here. Also known as Gupta Ganga. Best place for introspection. Visit during odd days to avoid crowd. Need to climb around 100 steps to reach the small temple. The journey from the highway to the temple is really enjoyable. The place is around 3kms from Gonasika Village.

β β β β β Gonasika Temple is surrounded by picturesque green valleys and up rolling hills of varying colour is famous for pilgrimage centre. The famous temple of Brahmeswar Mahadev is established by the side of river Baitarni by Creator Brahma himself . Perennial river Baitarni is originated here through two nostrils of a cow. As a strange to tourists, the river soon goes underground and re-emerges to be collected inside Brahma Kunda for which it is known as Guptaganga. The shrine of Lord Shiva was constructed by King Laxmi Narayan Bhanja during 1654-1688 AD. The beautiful spot is rich in exotic flora & fauna and rare place for study of tribal juang life. The spot is at a distance of 30 km from Keonjhar town

β β β β β Temple is old..people are good..on the top of the hill.. vehicle climbing is a bit difficult... No petrol station near..local shops have petrol jars..but not worth the money. Do not go with a lower cc vehicle.. it will struggle to climb.. explorable place.. good for adventure.. festivals oftentimes.
