Full school building is under CCTV surveillance. School have their own digital classroom provided by Rotary.

teachers, helpful staff, well equipped labs
(best school labs in Berhampore), tidy & clean,
Library, study rooms (for 11&12), hygienic place
for midday meal (for 5-8)
After all our HM always helped us.
I don't know about arts stream being a science
student. But the Physics faculties & computer
faculties & math faculties are the best of
berhampore .Bios and chem is also good
You always even in off periods can ask them for
help for any topic you have problem .They will
help you.
So if you are thinking to get admitted in class 5 in
the best govt. school of Murshidabad then it's
the right one. And the same is for who wanna
change their school after their 'O' level exam
(10th).

But the exterior environment of this institution is very bad. The heap of garbage is found everywhere in the road so the road becomes impassable at some point of time

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ My great grandfather Shri Biharilal Chakraborty founded this High school, Gorabazar Ishwar Chandra Institution, named after my great great grandfather Shri Ishwar Chandra Chakraborty.
My grandfather Shri Abani Bhushan Chakraborty, who worked in this school as a headmaster, had two sons and a daughter. They were Dulal Chandra Chakraborty, Rekha Chakraborty and Chandan Chakraborty --- my father. Most probably all of the three grandchildren, mentioned, went through this school.
