It is affiliated to the Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Technical University and was established in 1960. The construction of the college was started in 1957 and was completed in 1960. Later on, it included the extension building that presently houses the Electronics and Telecommunication Department, Computer Science Engineering Department & Master of Computer Application Department. The recently constructed ClassRoom Complex houses the classes of First Year students of all branches along with Information Technology Department.This one of the best college of maharashtra, it is among the top 10 college of maharashtra (including IITs,IIITs,NITs).It is one of the premier engineering college of Government of Maharashtra.

Girls and boys hostels.. Gyms.. Grounds for sports.. Indoor and outdoor games.. Conferences, seminars, guest lectures and workshop kind of events organize here periodically... Good for campus placements.. Canteen and parking facilities also there.. CSE, Mech, ECT, CiVil and many other department also present here.. If you are thinking for admission here..go for it.. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Not a nice college. Huge fees with improper facilities. GECA is a government funded college. It has total 6 engineering branches like electrical, mechanical,civil, Electronics and telecommunication, computer science and information technology. There are two girls hostels and 1 boys hostel in college campus. One boys hostel situated near government pharmacy.

Have a large auditorium and library. It has a basketball court volleyball court, cricket ground football court. It also has a girls and boys hostel in the campus.
