Govt. Model Sr. Sec. School Sector – 33-D, Chandigarh is a prestigious school under the Department of Education UT Chandigarh holding its affiliation with CBSE. It was built in 1987 when the city beautiful was budding with limited educational facilities. Although it was a challenging course yet the diligent staff left no stone unturned and at present; the school is imparting education to approx. 2000 students. The school is situated in the lap of nature, very near to terrace garden. The infrastructure is backed up with a separate Nursery Section for the tiny tots and a well-equipped Junior Wing. We offer Medical, Non-Medical, Humanities and Skill Courses. The school has extensive playgrounds well equipped laboratories in various disciplines and a well-stocked library holding nearly approx. 2000 books and subscription of newspapers and magazines. There is a Social Science, Science and Mathematics Park promoting understanding through observation, an Eco-Club with a Greenhouse highlighting the importance of nature. The school strives to develop the various facets of child Personality through quality education .We Encourage children to take responsibility and develop a sense of respect for society & social cause. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the model school among the top five model schools in Chandigarh. The teachers and staff are well qualified & trained. But management is inactive with respect to the Spots & Swach Bharat Mission activities. The moral values of the students are very high. The school have very big playground. I would like to recommend all parents to give the basic education in this school only rather than private schools because the fee is nominal and the education standard is good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is one of the best Government School in Chandigarh. School building looks new as compared to other Government Schools and cleanliness is maintained here. School ground is large enough and tennis court is also there.
The infrastructure and labs here are also very well maintained. All the necessary equipments are available for practical work. Teachers are highly qualified and they are 100% dedicated towards their job of teaching.
So, if you are thinking to take admission in a Government School in Chandigarh, then you should consider this one also.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This school is very nice for giving exams. I went there for Assistant professor exam in May. Though the organising staff was not experienced but they conducted the exam pretty well. They provided facility of keeping bags and phones at their premises. I roamed in the school after the exam and found it amazing for students, especially due to science park for interactive study.
