Government Polytechnic, Ambala City is situated in the heart of Ambala City. This city is known for its production of scientific instruments all over the world. It is also well known as city of mixies. Ambala is a main junction station which connects all the main stations of Northern India. At present, Ambala is witnessing very good growth of industries in an around the city. In the changing scenario, when the multi-national companies are being attracted towards India, the surroundings of this city is also not lagging behind. Initially Govt. Polytechnic, Ambala City was started as Government Industrial School in 1929. Later on institute was developed to metal works Institute in 1933 which perceived in 1948 and from that point it was known as Government Technical Institute. In 1958, institute was renamed as Government Polytechnic. It is situated in Ambala city - Chandigarh highway. Institute is 1 KM away from the bus stand & 1.5 KM. from the railway station. The institute is spread over a land area of 24.6 acres.

i studied there from 2016-2018
One of the best polytechnic college of haryana with 2nd rank. Various 3 years diploma engineering courses are available for both DET and DET-L students. Earlier 2 shifts classes were planning now only in one shift. Girls hostel inside the campus and boys hostel is around 1 km away. Facilities are also good. Approach from important places is easy. Situated on kaithal-Chandigarh road. There is no raging complaints from last many years so you can come freely and take admission for building future. Please like my review if you like it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I am 2019-2022 batch students. I post pic belong to hostel.1st&2nd year hostel very good and cleaning . 3rd year almost good. All guards are helpful. Mess facilities are good value for money. Per day mess bill 35-40rs for three times. In last all facilities are good. Thanks
