Government College Nagrota Bagwan, a Co-educational Institute, was established vide Govt. of Himachal Pradesh, Education Department Notification No. EDN-A-Kha(16)-10/95-Pt.III- loose Dated 24th June 2006. Over the years, our illustrious students have carved a niche for themselves in fields as diverse as Politics, Administration, Business, Information Technology etc. We offer a broad curriculum and a range of opportunities for all our students to achieve excellence in academic, creative, social, cultural, sporting and community endeavours. The motto of our college is “Asato Ma Sadgamaya, Tamso Ma Jyotirgamaya” from Brihad Aranyaka Upnishad means “Lead me from the unreal to the real, Lead me from darkness to light”. The motto inspires both students and teachers to attain real, true, universal and constructive knowledge in the world. But lack in discipline students are not proper disciplined no arrangement of fines , lack of strictness students misbehaving excellent library 9am-4pm open smart class hall fully decorated AC rooms cameras also maintained everywhere separate washroom for boys and girls meditation class also arranged gym 24*7
