★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Honestly was surprised at how great the bus was, after a horror experience getting a train from Kolkata to Varanasi we booked the bus and it was perfect had our own little pod bed with aircon and a plug socket, had TVs but didn’t work but was happy with the experience!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Booked this bus service from Agra to Varanasi. Scheduled departure 7.50PM for arrival next morning 5.50PM (10hrs). I experienced a couple problems. First thing you must know the boarding point is extremely confusing...if you search Shrinath travels on google maps it will show you one location but that is NOT in fact where you need to be. Correct point of embarkation was maybe 15-20mins walk away. See my photos for details. (To make things more confusing google maps may also show second option "Shrinath Nandu Travels" - this is entirely different agency altogether so ignore it).
Secondly, at about 1.30AM into the journey we stopped at Lucknow and were instructed to transfer to another waiting bus, which already had other occupants. No explanation was given. It was extremely confusing as the driver didn't speak english. And a transfer was not advised prior to booking. Lastly, after all that transpired the bus arrived at Varanasi almost 3hrs late. This was not really a bad thing as most hostels dont allow check in until 11AM anyway. But if time constraints were an issue i.e. you had to make a connecting bus or train, then you may have issues.
Considering I paid 1000 rupees for the sleeper berth when there were other bus services offering same for 700 rupees, I did not think it was up to standard.
This was my experience only but hope this helps other travelers when deciding on bus agencies...
