★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It's ancient temple with beautiful surrounding.One must visit this place if u r around panvel.However this temple is open from early morning to 12 pm & from afternoon 4 pm to 6 pm only .
Also the main thing is we aren't allowed to enter inside temple with shirt .For male they have to remove shirt ,baniyan & belt .
For ladies it's not allowed to enter inside gabhara near shivpind .

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is one of the oldest temples in Raigad area. The temple is situated on banks of patalganga river and supposedly built during the Peshwa era. The temple has a dome like structure and has been renovated over the years. Inside the temple vicinity you will find lord Ram and lord Hanuman temples as well. There are big old banyan trees within the complex. The temple is kept very clean and accessible to tourists during 6:00 till 12:00 and then 16:00 till 19:00
Surrounding villagers take good care of the temple and make sure it is kept up-to-date. There is a big fair held on occassion of maha shivratri. It's very peaceful and you can sit here easily for quite a few hours and enjoy the tranquility
Accessible by car and bike as well. If you are coming from panvel you will have to take the right near india bulls and follow the road to the end. Take a right again and immediate left and follow the road till you reach gulsunde board. Just 200 mtrs ahead take a left and follow concrete road towards the temple
If you coming via pune exit near khalapur and follow the road through the industrial area and exit near big cola plant and follow the route. Take a left at the end of road and travel approx 2km and take sharp left and follow the road till you reach gulsunde board. Just 200 mtrs ahead take a left and follow concrete road towards the temple
If coming via Alibaug take the left at apta phata and keep following the road till you reach gulsunde board. Just 200 mtrs ahead take a right and follow concrete road towards the temple
Note: please do not litter and carry your trash with you

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tranquility at it’s best. Beautiful Lord Shiva ancient temple from Peshwa era. Vicinity is also very beautiful. Nature lovers will definitely love it. River along side is addition to it’s beauty. Ask any villager for opening the gate of temple, they are helpful & will show you the temple. Tree nearby the temple is really worth anticipating the nature’s magic & art. It seems many people are living in tree trunk.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Superb place to relax in the temple complex built on the bank of Patalganga river. The place is quiet and peaceful. The temple has lot of tree cover and the steps built to access river is well maintained. The temple complex also has Lord hanuman temple at entry to the complex.
