★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gundu Muneeshwara temple in RT Nagar is more than 120 years old. At the entrance, there is a stone plaque overhead with the names of its benefactors, Shri Ramaswamy Pillai and his father, Shri Swaminatha Pillai from Trichy who constructed the temple and/or who donated its vast ground. The temple and its grounds gives you a feeling of calm and peace. The idol inside is a face of Lord Muneeshwara, covered in silver, with one eye looking at you and another one keeping an eye out for you from your troubles. Inexplicably, you feel comforted and at peace. The priests are good at the poojas and rituals. Behind the temple are stone idols of Ganesha and Naga devatas. Many families consider this temple and its lord as their house diety ('mane devaru' / 'kula devam' ). Do visit when you can. Parking could be a problem. Cheers!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ A Divine place where people of different culture and religion visit to offer their prayer and is believed to fulfill their wishes by pleasing the god Muneshwara(Lord shiva's incarnation) with their offering(Non-Veg)
If you forget to offer the god with his offering it is believed that he will make you come in one or the other way and make you ask for forgiveness by providing him the offering

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This temple is clean and well maintained premises. The priests are friendly. You can pray and worship comfortably in the cool precinct. Cooking, dining, bathing and wash room facility available. Offerings of poultry goat and sheep allowed and cooking is allowed.
