★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Located just outside the golden temple. It has very nice views of the golden temple from 7th floor. Not much area to roam around on the top floor and if many people are around, then its impossible to go to the top and might have to wait a long time to get your chance to climb up there.

On ground and 1st floor walls are very painted with beautiful mural pictures realted to guru nanak life. 3rd floor onwards paintings are damaged and now simply painted white. From top one can have a birds eye view of entire city especially golden temple & its complex

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Quite place. You have get inner peace here. One of the religious place in near the Harimandir Sahib. This place is must visit as a person's visit to Harimandir Sahib is not marked as complete without visiting this place.
This space needs restoration as the painting on the walls need to be preserved for the next generation.

The Gurudwara of Baba Atal was built in memory of the nine year old son of Sri Guru Hargobind ji
Baba Atal Rai Ji was born at Amritsar on December 22, 1619. He was beloved son of Guru Hargobind and Mata Nanaki. The Guru often told his son that he had been blessed by God with much power and he should not fritter it away by showing miracles. But when Atal Rai brought to life his playmate Mohan, the great Guru demonstrated his divinely gifted son and ordained, "None should intervene in the will of God!"
Baba Atal Rai Ji listened to the admonition with downcast eyes. He bowed his head before his father in reverence and left for the sacred pool called Kaulsar. Here he sat in samadhi, his soul departed from the earthy body and he became a part of eternal light

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gurdwara Baba Atal is a famous Gurdwara of Amritsar. It is just a short walk from the famous Harmandir Sahib. This is the tallest tower in Amritsar city, on one side of the Kaulsar savorar in the Golden Temple complex, enshrines the memory of the Sixth Guru the Master of Miri Piri, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib and his son, Baba Atal Rai.
There is also the tradition attached to Baba Atal that whenever the city has a long dry spell in the hottest summer, the sangat and devotees have a holy bath in the pool next to this nine storied tower - and invariably there are wide-spread showers in the city of Amritsar.
