About Guru Harkrishan Public School
Guru Harkrishan Public School, West Jyoti Nagar, Shahdara, Delhi is one of the many off-springs of the GHPS family. The First of its kind to be established in East Delhi, the school came into being on 5th August, 1981 with the joint efforts of Premier organization “Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee” and a social worker late S. Raghbir Singh.
It was an effort and attempt to promote and enhance progressive education with a view to inculcate humanistic values and universal brotherhood believing in development of a fuller personality in all its manifestations – physical, creative, cultural and spiritual.
The school follows the message enshrined in its motto- “Vidya Vichari Tan Parupkari” meaning “Thou is learned indeed who does well to others”. Today it stands as ‘citadel of learning’ and ‘a harbinger of quality consciousness’ – committed to developing the minds and initiative of children.
The guidance, inspiration and encouragement of the Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee, the co-operation of the parents, the devotion and dedication of the staff together has made the school flourish day by day and from an initial strength of merely 120 students and a handful number of Faculty members, it has reached to a strength over 3400 students and 114 members of the Faculty. In all these years the school has leaped from strength to strength achieving laurels in curricular and co-curricular fields of activities. Our students have earned a name for themselves and the school not only in India but abroad as well.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ The education system of this educational institution is very poor ,although some sort of teachers even doesn't know how to teach well but their are few teachers who teaches with a great effort. And also the condition of canteen is worse then a toilet, they take a good amount of money for food but do not give good food. The toilet's condition is worst, in girls toilet there are doors but the doors don't have door lock and its a religious school wow. By this you can guess what is the condition of this school in present time.

Irresponsible management with rude behaviour even the chairman is also very rude with parents as well as students.
Earlier school was quite fine but now it's worst to enroll your ward in it.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have studied in GHPS loni road till year 2002, from Nursery to Class 5. The memories are so close to my heart, this place and it’s people has really shaped my fundamental thinking, I still remember my Best Friend Dipanshu, My First Teacher Anju Mam, and so many other people!
I don’t have any physical photo of it, but it’s there imprinted forever In me.

If you try to raise any concern or complaint about level of studies they will start treating your child differently and will get partial. Do not take admission here.

Parking space is also very good. School is really good . This school has many branches in Delhi . Book shop , Canteen, fees Counter like facilities are inside the school . Transportation of Guru Harkrishan public school is really very very good. There are many buses for students. Studies of this school are really impressive. School Dress is also up to the mark.
