Guru Nanak Public Sr. Sec School Bassian, is recognized by Punjab School Education Board, Mohali and Affiliated by Punjab government Board up to 10+2 (medical, non-medical, commerce & arts Group) . It is Etnglish Medium and Co-Educational School . GNPS Bassian was Founded by Late Principal Kulwant Kaur in 1987 with just 20 students . They realized that there should be Quality Education with Spiritual & Religious values in rural area students at reasonable and cheaper rates. So Guru Nanak Public Sr. Sec. School Bassian (Ludhiana) came into existence . Since 1987 the school has been catering to the educational needs of thousands of Rural Students . This Organization is now running under the Management of Guru Nanak Public Sr. Sec. School Education Society Bassian (Regd.) and under the guidence of president S.Mohinder Singh. Guru Nanak Public Sr. Sec. School Bassian is in its own building with a total of 70 rooms and about 1600 students. Being affiliated to Punjab School Education Board the school follows the syllabus Prescribed by P.S.E.B. and N.C.E.R.T. The location of the school is made to give students an ideal environment to concentrate on their studies . It provides a healthy, pollution free and environment friendly atmosphere.

Director Mahinder Singh insults students by calling them on stage for small mistakes.
Such as a student said that i want to eat non-veg so i will no be baptized (amrit chkna) any more. His mom complained to school and Director sir insulted him on stage. Once a 7th class girl was told to slap 9th and 10th class students on stage for simple mistakes.
Students are forced to keep religion as a subject. School should not have any right to get a student follow certain thing.
What if somebody doesn't believe in religion??? I was bored from listening sikhism history and always gurbani because i don't have faith . I don't disrespect anybody's faith but i am simply not interested in it. So if you are atheist , this is not the right place for you.
