Religion? Like seriously? A builder so big cancel booking just because of the religion? Like seriously? The builder is doing these things like small street promoters!

The whole world is living in the 21st century, whereas Gurukul is still dwelling in the 19th century and clinging to the religious issues,?like seriously. Better try to improve your hospitality before constructing projects.

After having two site visits and a month long discussion with the sales manager I booked a flat on 22nd September 2020. The booking form was duly filed by me and other formalities were also done. They sent me acknowledgement receipt in which the flat no. was specifically mentioned alongwith the transaction amount. An email was send to me highilghting that the flat is booked and status of the remaining flat was also shown. So far so good. I was in constant touch with the sales manager and also with the accountant of the project. They provided me the no. of State Bank agent regarding the bank loan to initiate the process. As the agreement was to be made within one month from the date of booking I was preparing to pay the remaining required amount. They send me the draft agreement on 28th October to cross check if it is all ok. The date of agreement was fixed on 31st October. All of a sudden the accountant call me on 30th October and without being apologetic told that my booking is being cancelled as they have booked twice the same flat. It was told to me that while performing the audit this thing was noticed by them. My wife was totally shattered hearing this as we were attached to the flat emotionally by preparing all the interior designs ourselves. After searching vast range of projects we had finally found this one which suited best to our requirements. The logic given by them could not be acceptable as they had only 20 flats in this project and they would send email after each flat is booked. How could they acknowledge the same flat twice upon receiving the booking amount? Even if the booking is done twice the same would have been noticed after two to three days atmost. The big projects handling more than 100 flats could not have done this double booking and this is a small project of 20 flats only! When I booked this flat, 8 more flats remained unbooked most of them at 1st floor or back side of the project. Now they told me that all these 8 flats are booked within the span of one month which is highly impossible.Nonetheless, the fact that they remained unapologetic throughout this process and behaved unprofessionally hurt me most. The sales manager was also shocked and was totally unaware about it. So either they were lying or hiding something. To sum up I am not sure of the reason why my booking was cancelled but by the conditions prevailing the angle of religion intolerance cannot be possibly overlooked. But it is said that what happens is for your ultimate good and we have purchased a flat elsewhere which is far better than this one in every aspects. Thanks Gurukul for this wonderful experience! P.s. The booking amount was 5,25,000/-. They did refund me the entire amount but after consuming the interest for more than one month on this amount.
