★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I have bought several books from Gyan. They are good people to deal with and considering distance I have no complaints about time to deliver to UK. It is worth paying the little extra over standard paperback for the de luxe editions which are bound in faux Victorian/Edwardian style. They are good quality and look really classy in a bookcase. I prefer to buy the de luxe that often work out cheaper than the same used paperback from other book dealers on the internet.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ If one is seeking an out of print title Gyan is the go to publisher. If they can find the book they will reprint it. They use quality material. Bindings range from paper back to fine leather work. Gyan ships world wide for no charge to customer. The prices are very reasonable. I've used them in the recent past and will look to them in the future as the need arises for quality reprints of scarce books.

They sell a limited amount of products indirectly through other websites as bait, but when customers attempt to order products directly from their website, they take their payments and immediately 'cancel' their orders, or rather, they never even process orders at all and will simply ignore their customers' inquiries and requests for refunds. Avoid them.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Appalling company. I ordered a book on November 15th. Despite an original eta date of 20th December (itself far too long a delay) they only shipped it on 24th December when chased by Abebooks!
Avoid this company.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Purchased (through Abe Books) what I thought was part of the book "The Jesuit Relations and Allied Documents", since that was the title they gave for the product. What I received was the 'announcement' of the book's original publication in the late 19th century. They basically sold me an advertisement of the content I thought I was getting. Checked back to see if i misread the product description. Nope. Inaccuracy and swindling.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Be careful when working with these people. They sold a chapter from a book and called each one a volume insinuating there were 10 volumes. They created a faux leather binding and it was coming apart. These people have no integrity. They can keep the money I spent. Waste of time to try reasoning with these people. Gave them 1 star because I couldn’t give them less. Beware of doing business with them!

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ I had my doubts ordering facsimiles of these rare books I had long sought but failed to find at any kind of affordable price. Anyway, I ordered directly from the Gyan Books Delhi site as it offered the best price and today, barely three weeks later, my books arrived by courier. The books are a great size, much easier to read and handle than the tiny early 19thC originals and the quality is excellent, hand finished with tasteful good quality covers and matching dust covers they're properly put together. I love my original old book, mostly colour plates collection but for those really rare or too expensive to buy, I can't fault Gyan Books facsimile versions and wonder why I waited so long to get my order placed. Would not hesitate to order from them again but for books with black and white only as colour plates are only good as originals. Delighted with my lovely local history books. Thank you.
