★ ★ ★ ★ ★ This is a very famous restaurant in Gumti no 5 in Kanpur. Specially the KHEER in desert is delicious. Since it is a vegitarian restaurant hence You will get all vegetarian dishes over here. Affordable in budget and you can get packing too. Parking is a big issue as they don't have their own parking. During weekend, it is very crowded so you have to wait for your turn. As of my views, nowadays you have many options for veg food in same area, in same budget. Secondly, owner needs to do some improvement towards their services like they should provide tokens for waiting customers. Thanks?

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food taste is good and tasty, moderately spiced. Sitting arrangent is not of modern high end restaurant just a casual sitting like dhaba without air conditioning..if you can get your food packed than its better to get it packed and have it at home.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Food is good but the staff behaviour is so bad they did not even offer water after half an hour of taking the seats. When we took water bottles by ourselves the staff came and asked for money and said that you need to pay before. We said we have come before and we knows that we can pay after. He insisted by saying bluntly that there is so much rush you people will take it for free. No one come even after waiting for half an hour to take food order. Very disappointed?. Last time it did not happen.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Gyan Vaishnav Restaurant is an old pure vegetarian restaurant in Gumti no. 5. Their food is simple and tasty. Their price are very affordable. Shahi Panner, Baigan Bharta and Dal is very tasty. They also have parking area. They are mostly full for dining so you might have to wait for turn.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ It is an iconic place serving great Indian food (North Indian style) since 1967. Not hugely expensive but very popular with families in the evenings and businessmen during the day time. Their missi roti not to be missed. And so is the rich kheer (sweet rice pudding) experience. There's a chatty pan wala near the entrance from the main street.
Highly recommended if you like trying food places which are popular with locals.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ As usual the food taste is superb but hygiene & cleanliness is a point of concern here.The cleaning cloth is repeatedly used to clean multiple steel plates etc . The management has though put a sanitisation chamber but customers don't bother to use it. No one at restaurant asks u too use it. People choose to wait for seats & lot of chaos is visible. One can't relax & eat here but no doubt veg food is too good.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★ In continuation to my picks of places that are old town but epic, this one is a star in Kanpur. Yet it recieves only four stars from me due to the shabby look which did not add to my experience. The food on the contrary was superb. Simple.. nt heavy on ur tummy.. but delicious.. for those who don't like sweet paneer order kadhai paneer. N Arhar dal was the best.. simple tadka dal with loads of Desi ghee.. all in all I'll go back to hv food but I wish the place was cleaner.
BTW.. the place was jam packed despite all odds.. so we know how good the food is ?
